Our RN supervisors will determine the specific type of care that each individual patient needs, and then match him or her with a caregiver who is best suited to meeting those needs.

High Technology Nurses (RNs or LPNs)

High technology nurses are certified to provide care to pediatric and adult ventilator dependent patients.

Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

  • Complete physical assessments
  • Evaluate response plans
  • Offer counseling and health education
  • Administer oxygen and nebulizer treatments
  • Change sterile dressings
  • Insert and irrigate urinary catheters
  • Provide tube feedings
  • Provide colostomy care
  • Administer medication or treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Notify supervisor and physician promptly of unusual reactions and changes in condition

Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA)

  • Follow a care plans as written by a registered nurse
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene
  • Assist with ambulation or transfers
  • Assist with medications, as per a medication planner
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Prepare meals and assist with eating
  • Assist with the maintenance of prescribed special diets
  • Utilize chem-strips for diabetics
  • Assist with oxygen therapy
  • Transport the client
  • Shop for client (if no other arrangement is possible)

Personal Care Aides (PCA)

  • Assist with personal care and hygiene
  • Prepare and serve meals, according to dietary guidelines
  • Assist with dressing and grooming
  • Assist with toileting
  • Assist with transferring and repositioning
  • Assist with shopping
  • Assist with medications, as per a medication planner

Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and always have a nursing supervisor available to them during any hours that they are caring for the patient.
